Today is a little interesting, at least from my perspective, since I'm posting some updates on two movies that probably couldn't be more different from each other if they tried. Deep Cove and Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas.
I had a little bit of down time today so I was doing a few internet searches to see if I could uncover anything new and low and behold I found what looks like the official poster for Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas. It's not the highest quality resolution in the world but its something that at least I haven't seen before so I thought I'd share. According to Birch Grove Films, the official release date for the movie is November 11, 2008. November 11, however is a Tuesday, films are typically released on Fridays (and occasionally Wednesdays) with few exceptions. A weekday release typically is due to a holidy... Wikipedia is a fun tool boys and girls so I looked up Holidays and Observations on November 11. November 11 is Veterans Day (US), Remembrance Day (Canada), National Twins Day (Taiwan... which... seriously? Twins day?) and Independence Day (Poland), none of which would warrant a Tuesday release. So either someone at Birch Grove Films made a typo or this will actually be heading straight to DVD (hence the Tuesday release date). I'm hoping for the former and not the latter.
Ok so I rambled a lot there, sorry, but anyone that comes to this site on a regular basis is probably already used to me going off on tangents. I'm going to end this update with what looks like the first official production still from Deep Cove. It's a bit spoilery, so you've been warned. The image comes courtesy of Fangoria which also says the filming wraps on May 30th.
So, despite it living on my DVR for over a year, I have just managed to get a copy of Dying to Dance onto my computer. There aren't a lot of screencaps but I have posted them all to the gallery.
So it took me nearly three days of uploading, but I've finally managed to get nearly 400 screencaps from the season finale of Smallville, "Arctic" in the gallery. There were some really great moments in this episode and just in case there's anyone that hasn't seen it yet. I'm going to leave it at that. In case you did miss the finale, it is available for purchase on iTunes. In related news you can now pre-order Smallville the Complete 7th Season on DVD from Amazon.com
I think it's safe to say at this point that Dead End is officially called Deep Cove (once again, I pwn IMDB), which is a good thing since I've added it to the projects sidebar. A new -- and spoiler filled I might add -- article about Deep Cove from The Province has been added to the press section. The article also came with a behind the scenes picture that has been added to the gallery.
In other non-Deep Cove news, The Stone Angel is currently playing in theatres, so if you're in Canada, go check it out. There is now also a US release date for the film as well which is July 11, 2008.
So apparently I'm a horrible website owner and fan and all that jazz since I didn't know that Aaron was in last week's episode of Smallville, "Quest until a few days after it aired. (Since I didn't think he was in it I went out to see Iron Man instead... oops. Sorry folks :-X). Since then, I have been able to watch, get it capped and uploaded and there are now over 150 screencaps in the gallery for your enjoyment and all that jazz. :)
Hey everyone! I have a bit of a natural distrust for IMDB, so I tend not to trust things that are posted on there until I can find another source or confirmation. I am, however, happy to report that Aaron is currently working on a film called Deep Cove (IMDB is at the moment listening it as Dead End but as far as I can tell the title has changed). Aaron's character name is Mark.
Deep Cove - Five students on spring break meet at a secluded island cabin for a weekend getaway. After a night of music, drinking and getting re-acquainted the five friends are shocked to find the cabin's caretaker murdered and the only boat off the island gone. Stranded on the island they become the prey of a mysterious killer who seems bent on revenge for something the friends have done. They must defend themselves and find their tormentor or face death one by one.
This is probably the fastest that I've ever gotten up screencaps. To be honest I'm surprised I'm awake enough to put together this update. You can now find over 150 screencaps from "Apocalypse" in the gallery.
